Autumn Update
Suddenly, an explosion of nuthatches have appeared in the Estate. Their unusual call can be heard down at the Stables as they have reared a brood in the Lebanese Cedar tree's. Another sign of Global Warming?
The work at the back of the Palace is moving on at a great rate. the flat area will be ploughed next week and the old bowling green re-instated. Soon the area will be clothed in grass and looking much nicer. It will prove to be an exciting addition to the Estate's potential for holding big events.
Sadly, the heavy rain has collapsed the entrance to one of our 19th Century tunnels. Work is ongoing to repair this, but it will probably be next season before we can use them again.
The Health & Safety Executive have advised us that our Zip Wire's do not come up to the current standards, and so they have been taken down, will be modified and be put up as soon as possible -so please bear with us!
Our opening times for 2011 are:
Friday 8th April - End of October. 10am - 5pm Daily
