The Playground at Dalkeith has been dismantled and a new Play Area will be open summer 2014!

Dalkeith Country Estate is a very special place. Only 5 miles from Edinburgh city centre, Dalkeith Country Estate is your great centre for a fun family day out.

It's not all fast and furious fun, re-charge your batteries in the quiet of this picturesque 500 acre woodland. Bluebell walks, riverside trails, cycle tracks and picnic areas offer a great chance to have a fun family day out.

Pig & piglets, Llama,s Chickens, geese, rabbits, donkey or horses are just some of the animals that you could meet at the Estate.

Our woodlands are alive with birdsong. We can almost guarantee that you'll see many of our British species on your trails.
